Data We Collect

The current version does not collect personal data. Hanzi Daily does not require an account, does not use advertising SDKs, does not use third-party analytics, and does not track users across apps or websites.

Learning Data

Learning progress, streaks, profile preferences, quiz answers, and learned characters are stored on the user's device. On iPhone, Hanzi Daily can also sync this learning data through the user's private iCloud account so progress can be restored after reinstalling the app or moving to another iPhone signed in with the same Apple ID.

Hanzi Daily does not use this learning data for advertising or tracking.

Speech

Pronunciation playback uses the device or browser speech synthesis capability. Hanzi Daily does not record the user's voice.
